Really?  I know a lot of people that uses it, and i love the fact that it doesn't burn your scalp or hair at all.  It is very gentle like it says. :)

Yes it will.  I use a very gentle relaxer for Afro-American hair.  It's called, "Gentle Treatment."  The strength I use is Regular, and that is the best for your hair.  It will help ti to lay flat down.  I hope I have helped.  Let me know how it turns out.

I'm a guy with naturally poker straight hair, but its so coarse and thick that instead of laying down it sticks straight up. It looks ridiculous. Its about 1 inch on top and short on the sides. The hair feels hard to touch and stiff. I would do anything just to have normal hair that lays down. I use a ton of gel every morning to push it down a bit but its driving me crazy. Would one of those relaxer kits intended for african american hair "relax" it and make it lay more flat?
