Hi, Im male, growing my hair out at the moment. It is very thin and fine and gets fluffy after I wash it. Ive been told that I need to use a hair syrum while the hairs still wet, and then blow dry my hair straight.

Well, I need advice on what sort of hairdryer to buy. Theres some cheap ones that have 2 settings, including cool shot (which Ive been told I need to 'set' my hairstyle). Well, is there anything else I need to look for? Some dryers have ionic something in them, and I dont know much about them so which would be the best to get? What should I look for?
The more expensive 'salon' style hairdryers have a lot of features but are they actually neccesary or better?

No.. a dryer is a dryer, the way heat is heat is heat. You've got it on the dot: to find a dryer with a low cool setting so you don''t make your hair too dry or brittle.

Well...I got one. A basic one with 2 heat settings and a cool shot button on it, plus concentrator atatchment that fits on the end.

When blow drying hair is there a certain technique to use? My hair always goes puffy after drying, should I be using a serum in it?

Thanks for advice xx

Heat protecting creams and stuff like that... and blow downward towards the ends so you don't "lift" the hair's microscopic scales into the wrong direction.
