I bleach my hair and tone it to a very light blonde, nearly platinum. I get my supplies from Sally's and due to so much stuff constantly being discontinued I am forced to switch between brands and shades.
I recently toned my hair with Wella Color Charm but used a new shade (9N) and it turned my hair too pink. I wanted to darken my hair a bit to a golden blonde in the 8-9 range. So I went back to Sally's and bought a 9G shade and a protein filler.
I used the protein filler according to directions and than applied the color. I was horrified when 10 minutes into the process my hair started turning blue.
It was literally silver/gray. I washed it with dandruff shampoo and dish soap to get rid of some of the color.
It is still silver/gray, but not as bad.
How could this happen when I used a gold dye? And what can I do to fix it now other than spending hundreds at a salon?
