OK.  One thing I must post!

One of the great rules about this site is it is not a hair fetish site.

Great.

Yet, it doesn't descibe what this is and how it effects the site, you and everyone else.

The site is not a sexuality site.  This site is for all people who are interested in healthy hair and hairstyles that are inviting to you and everyone else so you have a positive experience with how you style your hair and to keep it healthy.  Many areas are expressed.

Attractiveness.  Is your hair attractive?  To others, to society and how can you accomplish that?

Yet, fetishism is only mentioned as a word, here... not as a phenomenone.  So, let us make the record straight.  If the site heads will allow me?

Fetishism is psychological.  There are degrees to it.

Since my area on hair is specific I will let you know what I post.

1. Psychology of attractiveness
2. Sociological aspects of attractiveness
3. How it relates to everyone.
4. Using this to help those with their idea of image.

Why?  Attractiveness can help you.  It can also harm you... (eating disorders... for instance...)  It is important that a clear and caring perspective is shown.

So, fetishism...

This site sees fetishism as a no-no.  Yet, most people want to know if a hairstyle is inviting?  So let's take fetishism and show it as it is.

There are four stages to this.

I am going to start with the worst.

Type 4.  This stage is the worst and should not be on this site at all.  Criminal.  Basically, the hair attraction is completley and utterly terrible.  The "X-files" incarnate... hair is associated with criminal acts that are dangerous... to anyone...

Type 3.  This stage sees hair as a criminal gain.  For instance, a person might want to have a wig.  It's the act of having hair and the excitement of aquiring that motivates the person.  This type is conducive to this site at all...

Type 2.  This stage is someone who finds hair extremely attractive and is the only sexuality he/she knows.  Nothing else is attractive or sexy.  Hair is the only thing...

Type 1.  This stage is someone who sees hair as an "add-on." to there sexuality.  These people find hair very sexy just as much as any other area of the body.  They like hair.  It's important to them.  It's not something as a "make-it" or "break-it" factor.  They just like hair and find it sexy.  Just like someone who loves "legs."

Type one, psychologically is not considered as a disorder because it doesn't have any disfunctional qualities.

So, these are the stages...

So, how many people are on this site with type 1 stage hair fetish?  I love long hair.  Don't ask me why?  I just do.  To understand this I have looked into why I feel the way I do.  And, I try to understand everything I can.  I speak only for myself... unless psychology tells me otherwise.  Or, sociology tells me otherwise. I am not a hairstylist.

I believe that what I have learned is important.  Some may not, some may.  But, hairstyles encompasses more than just what you are supposed to wear.  They encompass something that has been going on on.  A fight to find the ultimate attractiveness.  Something the media has created for us all.  I could say we all must not be effected by the subliminal messages we encounter.  I could say that the last 150 years are just made up for us all.  But we are a part of it.

So, my goal is to help those with beauty in a healthy way.  What I say is only my own view points.  I like long hair... even though, I have seen short hairstyles that are inviting.  The most important is a possitive self-image for us all...  I might be biased.  But, I do try to see it a positive ideal for all.  As best as I can.Wink
Guys like me notice!
