tangles

Hi! I have hair to my waist and it`s fine and tangles MAJOR!! What I use that is the absolute best is Biolage Detangling Solution. (It is NOT the Conditioning Balm.) It`s a little more expensive than store lines, since you have to get it at salons or beauty supply shops. But to me it is so worth it!! Plus you don`t have to use much. And it leaves it a little slippery, but once you comb or pick it out it is sooooooooo... much easier!! You can get little trial sizes, and try once to see if it works for you. Give it a try! Mine is mid-back length with a loose curly perm and I had the same problem. Here`s what works for me. I use Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo and when I shampoo, all I do is shampoo, I DON`T try to detangle at this time. After washing, I rinse and follow with Paul Mitchell The Detangler. When I put it on, I just rub it into the hair real good, then pile it all up on top of my head til I`m done washing my face & body. After that detangler has had five minutes or so to sit there and do its job, then I comb thru GENTLY and SLOWLY with my fingers, finding the tangles and working them out as I go.
I used to lose hair like crazy in the Big 80s (thanks much to Bold Hold spritz, remember that nasty stuff?) but this combination of products really works for me. As I said, my hair is permed, so it`s a bit delicate, and it`s also pretty fine.
By the way, Paul Mitchell Detangler is about $18US a quart (a little goes a long way) but I find it on ebay all the time for as low as 9 or 10 dollars a quart. In my opinion, it`s well worth the extra money. Hope this helps.
