Hope you are all having a wonderful summer.
All that vitamin D is great for spurting hair growth, I am told, but please wear a hat/scarf/bandana/similar to prevent sun damage and splits.
Umm.
Some recent postings here have been kind of “off”. Threads that start of as fun start to get nasty and then our knight in shining armour, Dave, has to start messing with his moderator sword. In fact, I'm quite worried about all that sword-fighting...hope you haven't hurt your hand with all that posting, Dave .
I just wanted to say how much I regret that happening and also to state that it is unfortunate that people have to be hateful (to whatever degree and however subtley worded) towards those of us who have long hair goals.
Here is what I think the LHS board is for….some affirmations and gushing to follow…you have been warned..(LOL).. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Long Hair Support is:
A celebration of the bounty and beauty of trailing and tumbling tresses.
A sharing of tips, techniques and treats to nurture lenthy locks.
A reinforcement of shared goals and ideals.
Helping each other overcome the hurdles of impatience, bad hair habits, over-snippy scissors and those who would pressure us to abandon our long hair hopes.

Sure I missed loads of other good stuff, but I feel better just getting those positive vibes spiralling through my system.

I'm not going to post here much anymore but I have to respond to Uzma, who I consider a friend and who has written me several lovely B-mails.
I don't know about the others Uzma but I KNOW it was not my intention to hate long haired people or try to get them to cut their hair. YOU KNOW I like long hair on many people I have made that very clear.
Some people didn't like my silliness on the thread and didn't get the absurdity of my humor. And Dave has a right to monitor this board anyway he likes, he has been appointed the monitor here, and this isn't a democracy, he can do what he likes.
But hating long hair or long haired people or encouraging them to cut their hair!!! No way was that my intent! Why would I encourage people to cut their long hair when I believe that many people DO LOOK GOOD in long hair and I use to have long hair myself and enjoyed it at that time?
I don't think Rod, who has been very nice on the Short Hair board, hates long haired people either or is trying to convince them to cut their hair. He was just making some points he thought were valid about Locks of Love. He seems like a decent enough guy.
