Weird gray hair

To start, thanks for the replies (a few weeks ago) concerning All Soft. I appreciated the Redken link...that helped alot! This is a great board.

So, now, tell me, what's up with this:

I admit to "plucking" a few errant gray hairs now and then. You know the kind that look all kinky on top when you're going for that sleek low pony tail look. In doing so, I have come across what seems to me to be a strange phenomenon (sp?). The hair is gray on the end, but not towards the root. It's like my gray hair decides to revert back to it's orignal color (yea!)

Is this common? I had to prove it to people in my office. They thought I was smoking something when I told them about it.

If only ALL the gray would do that!!
