My hair's getting longer and the temperature is getting higher, and I am such a klutz at making updos or any style to get my hair up. I can to ponytails and braids without problem. I remember seeing infomercials about products that help make buns and updos (like a chignon), where you make a ponytail, and use the product, but I don't recall the names of these things. Any ideas?

Hi papillon_purple!

The word "sophist-o-twist" comes to mind... there was also "topsy-tail" or something, that first came to market about 10 years ago by a Dallas-based entrepreneur... hmm... perhaps one of Karen's inspirations?

Hairagami? I just bought a set. Works ok.
I've also used an Easy braid(Scuncii brand) , for french twists(I don't need it anymore ), that one really helped me.
