I was wondering on ladies opinions on a guy wearing hair accessories like plastic hairbands and barrettes or combs. Do you think it is ok?

Of course it's OK. I think feminine hairsyles and accessories look nice on guys. Girls don't hesitate to wear almoast any mens' things so there's no reason guys shouldn't do the same.

Hi, I started making accessories for men for this very reason :) I think, and I'm sure a lot of ladies agree with me, that men look best when they put just a bit of effort into their aperance,,,, sometimes subtle touches make a world of difference. By all means wear your hair long, but go ahead and put some style to it. If you want to make sure your look stays masculine get yourself a big old silver belt buckle (Harley, guns, etc,,,) and have it turned into a big hair barrett. Nothing wrong with braids men have been wearing them for centuries.Keep the flow,,,Timbre~

> Thanks for all your help.I really appreciated your support. I am still hunting for a plastic tortoiseshell headband (wiht the teeth underneath the band) fine combed look in damp hair. The only ones that are out there are accordian combs and comb headbands. I just think they will give me that same look. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong stores. Can you give me any suggestions. What do you think of the redhead in the gallery selection under March of 1998 (the fourth picture with teh girl with an updo in curls)?

I would check beauty supply stores and accesory stores like Claire's. Mabey Nordstroms's or Macy's. You might even want to post this question at messageboard.beautybuzz.com, just because so many people from all different places will read it. The problem with hair accesories is that they go in and out of fasion very quickly. The redhead's updo was a bit too stiff, I think. It might look ok with a more casual outfit and withough the really terrible makeup. Good luck on the headband search.
