Hello,

against dryness and brittle ends you could use Jojoba oil, only a little bit between the fingers to avoid the hair to get oily. In Germany it is delivered by Body Shops and some supermarkets.

I personally mix it with a conditioner (without silicones) and it seems to help against split ends.

I think breaking is caused by friction. The advise is to use a satin pillow case at nigth and clothes where the hair could glide.

Breakage can also be caused by combing, if you use some of this plastic combs with small distance between the teeth, plastic combs can have sharp ends which cut off the hair while combing. Be carefully with knotes, it you fight against them the hair can be teared into pieces.

I only use a wide toothed hard rubber saw cut comb.

Another advice is to use hair vitamins like Ultra Hair to improve the condition of the new growing hair, or Hair Skin and Nails, if Ultra Hair is not available.

To get and preserve healthy hair the general advice is to avoid perming and coloring, be carefully with chlorided water and intensive sun radiation.

I thin shampoo with a lot of water or only use fluid soap for hair washing (thinned with a lot of water) and it works.

If all of this don`t help please ask for further advices in the long hair support section.

Help Help. It really doesn`t matter what I do with my hair, but I always seems to end up with severely coarse and brittle hair, which of course ends up breaking all the time. I buy the best shampoos and conditioners, go to the hairdresser religiously -- To be honest with you, in order to keep my hair looking good, I am forced to braid or weave, I would love to be able to show off my natural hair, but can`t because of the dryness and brittle ends. What do you recommend. It is constantly breaking!
