Buildup on scalp leads to hairloss

Last week when i went to get a trim the hairdresser said that i have this waxy buildup on my scalp after she washed my hair. She said that the buildup was preventing my hair on the top of my head from growing. Then i was kind of relieved to find out why cuz i noticed my scalp being oily even after washing my hair a while ago but i didn't think much of it since i have oily skin.

I'm using this shampoo she recommend for oily hair. But now i'm thinking of going to the doctor to get some sort of special shampoo made to get rid of buildup.

Has anyone every experienced this buildup ont the scalp before?
