just wondering, are velcro rollers safe for long hair, or will they break it? i've been wanting to play with curls, but am reluctant to go back to hot rollers. would foam rollers be better?

thanks in advance for your advice--and also for being such an encouraging group of long-hairers!

I think that velcro rollers could tear the hair when you take the rollers out. The covered foam/rag rollers are a better option. You can buy "rag rollers" in most stores like KMart and Walmart but the best ones I've found are called Wrap, Snap and Go (as seen on tv). They are so easy to use and don't fall out because you interlock them. I ordered mine online but you can probably find them elsewhere if you look hard enough. Target and CVS sell a lot of "as seen on tv" products.

Good luck.
