Please help. I have an 11 year old son who wants his hair in a short spike. The hairstylist produced exactly what he wanted, but we have been unable to reproduce the result. He is using one of those mega mega hold gels, but does get a little impatient with it.
Does he want a dry or wet spike? straight up or messy looking?
If he wants a dry spike id recomend using american crews fibre. Its what i use and it works very well, very good hold without the wet hair/shine look.
American crew gel extra hold seems to work well if he wants the wet look.
You can`t really tell someone how to spike their hair, its just a preference really, i just run the fibre through my hair backwords and forwards, just so its messy. It`s pretty easy really.
..You could always ask the hairsylist.. but I guess that would be too much work. Why does he get impatient? Just dampen his head and spread gel evenly through your hand, and rub his head..
