my hair is really frizzy when dry so my only choice is a wax, pomade, etc.. i want to get the look like http://www.hairboutique.com/images/MaleHair3a.jpg bam but the top of my head is straight, but the sides go straight BACK. its like my sides are pasted to the side of my head and they dont move at all. anyone help? is there anyway to change my sides and/or get rid of the frizzyness?

Woo anger management.. Once you get out of the shower, I know it`s frowned upon but try it, comb your sides downward. Since your hair has been back for so long, it will most likely cover your ears. So why not go to a barber and get them cut along with the rest of your head. The pics you showed look like a #5, all around. Then I suggest using a pomade or wax and just pick chunks of hair all over the place to mold.
