Hi,
I finally found a picture of how i'd like my hair, it is the appropriate length, but my hair is thicker, but that will be because it's just been growing for 13 months. It may need thinned?
Anyway, I would like it to look just like the picture below, how do i need to get it cut and what products do you recommend?
thankyou in advance!!
and another angle (note the way the hair sweeps to the side):
You didnt stalk this person and take his picture did you? Tee hee, Ive actualy done that once before when I saw a braid style i really liked. I hunted her down to get a picture of her style...
Im sorry, i just have the above comment and no good advice. I dont know much about cut styles.
I'm not really familiar with this type of cut or style so I'm only guessing but I'd say that it was done with a razor or done wildly with scissors.
You probably wouldn't need product but again I'm only guessing. You say your hair is thicker so there might be a chance that your hair might be fluffed out from your head more but again a guess. If that were the case I'm sure proper thinning by the stylist could solve it. Just make sure you bring up that your hair is thicker even though the stylist should be able to tell.
As far as products, I don't know that anyone with these flipped outward styles would need a whole lot of product unless they had trouble with the hair getting in their face. Most of these flips, "flip" because the hair underneath is slightly longer than the top hair and that's what causes it to flip out. The oppositte is true for a Bob or an undercut on longer hair. So you probably wouldn't need lots of product except a spray or something to keep it from falling in your face.
You can have <_> that much difference in the length from top hair to bottom hair and will get some curling or flipping action.
I'm sure if you take both of those pictures to the stylist you will get what you need. Just make sure to ask and discuss it.
Also if you see that another stylist isn't busy while you are getting your consultation ask if they can give a second opinion if you still aren't sure your stylist undertands. Maybe they can talk it over and come up with a better way to do it than the one stylist was going to.
Its probably really simple to ask, just say "Could you do me a favor? I'm really wanting to get this hairstyle right and although I trust what you are saying could we ask that stylist over there what she thinks? Then maybe you both can discuss it. I'd really appreciate it." If your stylist is a good stylist he / she should not have a problem with a client who respectfully asks for something like that. Especially if they want to help you.
