Hi,
Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect in terms of cost for each of the hair straightening methods? Also, how does it compare to how effective/safe they are, etc.?
Thanks
The first type is the cream/gel method. This method require you to apply these highly alkaline chemical such as ammonium thiogulate to break the bonds in your hair. Then you apply the neutralizer which is acidic to your hair to neutralize it.
The second method is the ironing, japanese, thermal reconditioning or what ever they called it method. What they do is basically the same as the fist method but they also include the flat iron in the process. This process is the most expensive and take the most time. A minimum of 4 hours if your have short hair. But this method makes your hair softer because they use heat and protein treatment to your hair softer and nicer
Since we are using very alkaline chemical, a first degree chemical burn might happen if it is not done properly. I had it and it was not pleasant
