i recently shaved my head and i'm planning on growing a medium-sized fro, but i'm asian and don't have curly hair at all, although my hair is pretty thick...

i'm just wondering what all i should do throughout this growing process, like if there is anything i can do right now while my hair is short? and what i should do later on when my hair grows long enough to perm

I have straight hair and many years ago I had an afro perm. It looked great. There is really nothing to do while you are growing your hair out except take very good care of it. If you color your hair while it is growing out make sure the process is compatible with perms. Good luck with your hair goals!
