Lenny Kravitz/Andre 3000 Hair Extensions?

I've been wanting hair like Andre 3000 in that Hey Ya! video and Lenny Kravitz (before he cut it and after he straightened it) but every time I've cut it before it got that long. It went though that awkward stage and I couldn't stand it. Now, my hair is about 2-3 inches on top and about 1/4-1/2 of an inch on the side. I know some girls have hair extensions and it makes their hair a lot longer. Is that something I could even consider, or would it look terrible? Is my hair even long enough? Thanks!

the hair extension would look very good if it is done by a very good stylist. try it if you are into that long hair thing.

I want it about another 10 inches but now I just found out how much it costs to get it done by a professional. Around here it's a couple of hundred dollars but the people who I checked with are very good. About how long should it take for me to grow it out?

That depends on how quickly your hair grows; mine grows approximately 1/2 inch per month, so I will have my target style (which is lenny's new feathered look) about a year and a half to two years from now.... lol I, too gave in to the pressure of the "awkward stage" -- this time I mean to finish what I started : ) My hair is probably about three inches all the way around at this point....
