Thinking of cutting Hair

Hi,
I have long slightly wavy hair down to my waist. I'm getting fed up with the up keep of it. I'm thinking of cutting it off at shoulder length. I have an oval face and wear glasses. I don't know if I should or not and was wondering what you people thought. Guys and girls responces appriciated.

Quesion: Do guys like long hair or short hair?

I think long hair is beautiful, but I think you should keep up with the times. Hair about mid back length with some face framing layers would be awesome.

I find the length of a hairstyle is not as important as the the total look. Bottom line is what do you like and what look do you want to achieve?? If you are truly fed up with the upkeep, go for a cut!! And yes there are many guys out there that like short hair!! Also I would think that if a guy would only go out with you if your hair is long, I think there would be a problem there to start with. If they just wanted to go out with long hair - they could take a wig to the movies!!

Sheesh hairbrains, who said anything about a guy only liking a girl for her long hair? And if, as you say, there are guys out there that like short hair, what makes you think that some of those guys wouldn`t like some girls "only" for their short hair? Sounds to me like an attempt on your part to paint appreciation of longer hair in a bad light. Why?

NightStar, you may want to consider these possibilities: (1) if you feel you are spending more time on upkeep than you want, you may want to look into how you can modify your upkeep routine to decrease your effort. Sometimes we spend more time doing something than is required because we don`t know the best ways to care for our hair. What are your specific concerns regarding the upkeep of your hair? Perhaps we can offer suggestions, but we need to know what problems you`re having. (2) You may want to consider how much time it would take you to style your hair at a given length. Some of the trendy haircuts these days require a considerable amount of effort to force the hair into a given shape, and this time requirement should not be ignored in your decision process.

Well I have long straight hair. It was to my waist but I cut off about 4-5 inches. I sorta regret doing that even though it wasn`t that much. I couldn`t ask for better hair. I love my hair. Anyway if you do decide to do it then do a little at a time. Maybe once you cut a little you will realize that you want to keep it. I know for me the annoying thing is that my hair sheds like crazy. I cut mine b/c I thought that`d help it but it didn`t do too much. The same thing happened to my friend. Back to the point, decide if you can part with it and make sure you won`t regret chopping all that off b/c you can`t get it back over night!
