I'm in cosmetology, so although I know my options as to what I can do with my hair, I am interested in your guys' input. I had med. brown hair to start and died the top layer a light caramel color(almost a gold blonde) and the bottom layer a dark expresso brown. I currently dyed over the caramel and colored it an almost black golden brown. I have black eyebrows, so the "almost black hair" is slightly overpowering. As well as boring. So I was wondering what your guys' preferences are as to what kind of highlights I should put in addition. what color, how many, how big, how small, etc? Any suggestions are welcomed.

What goes best with black is blue. Blue is kind of hard to maintain in your own hair, but it's easy to get some extension highlights put in.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Looks like you have pretty dark hair, so I'm gonna go ahead and say go with copper highlights. Always been a fan. Oh, and chalk up another hottie vote.

I got a peer to slice in some thin highlights, bleach them out and colored over the bleach with a level 7 golden brown. It turned out a honey/carmel color. Then I put on a transparent gold gloss to give it some shine and lock the color in...It lightened up so much, but looks awsome!! i love it!!! if you want some pics, let me know.

The first one is when my hair was caramel, with my (very very dark) roots grown like 3 inches out! That was before I dyed my hair almost black(which, fortunately, I have no pictures of)..And the closeup is the highlights I put in the black...I cant believe how much it lightened it all up.
