Hello, I am a 27 yr old white male with dark brunette hair and blue/grey eyes and a kind of round face. I love the look and feel of the bobbed hairstyles. I have my hair cut in a one length bob that just covers my ears with bangs that just cover my eye brows. I live in a conservative small town and I get plenty of looks because around here this style is a girls haairstyle. Do you think that bobbed hairstyles are too feminine for guys?? I want to let my bob grow out to about two inches below my ears. Do you think that would look too much like a girls style?? With all of these women wearing these really short masculine styles why shouldn't guys be able to wear longer more feminine styles?

She may be afraid of running me off and losing my business. I think that it looks pretty, but as I said, some people think that it looks too girlish. Conservative people are not very open to change and tend to stick to the old status quo. I was just wondering what opinions were on guys with bobs so that I could figure out if it is just their conservativism around here or not.

LESLIELeslie, I tend to agree with you. I was just trying to find out if I get these looks and comments about my having a girls hairstyle because the people in this small conservative town are not open to change or if others think that a bob style on a guy is too feminine. I love the bob style. The way that it looks and the swing that it has. Also, you can do different things with longer hair that you can't do with short hair. I like the variety. It is hard to forget what everyone else says in a small town, but I guess that I'm doing that to some extent now. So do you think that I should grow my bob longer?
