QuoteReplyTopic: Please help! I need tips on what to do to my bangs while they are growing out. Posted: January 12 2000 at 2:23am
My bangs have been annoying me for quite some time. So, I am growing them out. Here comes the problem. What can I do to my bangs to make them look good while they are growing out? I've tried sweeping them to the side, but that is out of the question, and so is rolling them under. Please send me suggestions. I'm desperate!Thanx.

>Hey Liz!I feel your pain!!! I too am trying to grow my bangs, and my hair. I've wanted to grow my bangs for half my life but I just get irritated and cut them! Were in luck though, the latest hair trend is little clips and bobby pins that you wear by your part line. They look nice and aren't expensive. If you can't wear them for work try using plain bobby pins and wear your longer hair over them. Hopefully one of these tips work.Angel 0:)My bangs have been annoying me for quite some time.> So, I am growing them out. P.S. You'll want to wear the clips about two to three inches from your part line depending on how long your bangs are.> Hey Liz!> I feel your pain!!! I too am trying to grow my bangs,> and my hair. I stopped trimming them at the start of the summer, and they've already grown over 2 inches, so I'm actually quite happy right now - I expected them to grow much more slowly.Meanwhile, as I wait for them to get longer, I've been trying different strategies to deal with them. This has been especially important today and yesterday, as I just got contact lenses for the first time, and cannot stand having my hair in my eyes now! (My glasses used to offer some help for that problem.)I like stretchy cloth headbands, the kind that are a full circle. They aren't painful, and the wide ones work very well to hold back short bangs without lookind ridiculous. Now that my bangs are a little longer, I am also enjoying barrettes and especially combs.Good luck with your bangs!Laura Janelswanson@sunflower.bio.indiana.edu
