I am Hawaiian, and I have very thick, heavy, very straight dark brownhair with some red highlights. (I do not color my hair). For the pastyear, I wore a cut that is shoulder length with bangs, with long layers, and face-framing layers around my face. I liked the cut for awhile, butnow am growing it out while looking for a new look.I do not want to go any shorter than shoulder length. Any ideas on agood look for me? I also don't like overly layered looks since my heavyhair doesn't wear too many layers (or short layers) well--tends to makemy heavy hair look stringy. Yet, I need some movement in my hair, but Ican't achieve that look easily because my hair just loves to be stickstraight.Any ideas?LuAnn

My mother was Hawaiian small kine and her hair was a lot like yours, I liked her hair when she grew it very long.Hawaiian's are lucky because their hair doesn't split as much as other people's hair. You would probably look neat if you grew your hair longand then grew your bangs down to your chin.So that if you had the back part up, your bangs would hang down nicely and decorate your face.My sister has a hairdo like that and she looks nice. When she moves around, her hair flows with her.It sounds kind of plain but it makes a real difference, it will take a while but the results are great. And remember, from there, you can always cut it or do whatever if you don't like it.Its all up to you.> I am Hawaiian, and I have very thick, heavy, very> straight dark brown> hair with some red highlights.
