fine, curly/wavy hair, long face

My hair is mid-back length, fine, curly/wavy, and VERY frizzy. It is straight/flat on the top of my head, then curly/wavy around the middle of my head, then mostly straight at the ends (it curls at the very end sometimes tho). My face is long and narrow. I've decided to cut my hair to just brushing my shoulders. I've also decided to get a perm to define the curls. The only thing I haven't decided is what kind of perm to get, like how big of curls to get. So does anyone have any suggestions, like what rods to use or any other cutting/styling options????
