I had shoulder length chemically relaxed hair. About 6 weeks ago I decided I wanted a change, so I opted for extensions. The stylist braided them in so tightly that my head positively stung. When I told her the braids were really hurting my scalp, she said it was just because my scalp had to get used to the braids and to just take some Tylenol. Since it was my first time, I believed her.I just went back to have the extensions removed. My hair was so damaged in one spot from where the braids were too tight that a big clump fell out and I now have a three inch round bald spot on the crown of my head. What do I do? Do I go to a dermatologist? How can I tell if there is permanent damage? How can I help my hair to grow back?
>You should go to a dermatologist and then straight to an attorney. A good hairstyle shouldn't hurt. When you communicated to her that you were in pain, she should have made adjustments. But instead she made you feel that discomfort is normal. Now she should be responsible for your pain, possible irreversible damage and medical bills. She really needs to know the damage her negligence has caused. Whatever you do, don't be afraid to bring this to her attention.I had shoulder length chemically relaxed hair.
