Hey, all. There are a lot of messages, lately, on the price of Viviscal. I'd really like to point something out. I won't go into reasons why we feel the price is justified, because I don't want this to be an ad. However, there's a very important point that keeps getting overlooked:Viviscal is designed especially for long term use. Not only has it had extensive long-term-testing, it's also got a very important point:After six months, the Viviscal dose drops in -half-.That means that if anyone's use is long-term, the -price- drops in half. And stays there. Many people don't want to pay $78 per month perpetually. I can agree with that. But for anyone who's interested in long-term use, Viviscal is $39 per month--or less, depending on where you get it.Just wanted to clarify.JeffThe Aurora Group

Jeff,I may be willing to pay the $78.00 if I KNOW it will work. There are some testimonials on this site (and on yours) stating that it does, and I know your site states the European research. However, there are a few posts from people (here and elsewhere) stating that it is not working for them. Viviscal has not been submitted for FDA approval, so there is no federal proof that it works on Americans. There are measurable differences in our physiology (how many times have you heard that the French have lower cholesterol than we do?) Your site says nothing about a money back guarantee.I'm not trying to flame you, but I think I share the concerns of many others. 6 months at $78 is $468...a gigantic amount of money if it does not work.

> Jeff,> I may be willing to pay the $78.00 if I KNOW it will> work.I hear that. :)There are some testimonials on this site (and on> yours) stating that it does, and I know your site> states the European research.*nod*> However, there are a few posts from people (here and> elsewhere) stating that it is not working for them.True.The main thing that I've seen here, however, is that, almost invariably, people haven't taken Viviscal for the full course. Our Viviscal booklets actually say a minimum of six months. That's often pessimistic--many people see results in three to four months, some even sooner. But the major trend I see is people who are unhappy with the price of Viviscal, who stop taking it around two to three months in, to try a cheaper product. And I certainly understand that not everyone want to put the money in, but you can't judge Viviscal's effectiveness on those grounds. That's why we've instituted a six-month guarantee--take Viviscal for the full six months, and get your money back if you're not satisfied.I have seen some people who stopped taking Viviscal because of price. I have seen some people who've taken other hair products and gotten good results. I haven't seen a single comparison done between my product, after it started to show, and other products. I think that's a very important distinction. I'm sure that Mike feels the same way I do--it's important for people to realize that different products work different ways, at different prices. Viviscal isn't H37, and vice-versa. :)> Viviscal has not been submitted for FDA approval, so> there is no federal proof that it works on Americans.I'm going to give a reasonably technical answer to that.First, Viviscal is a nutritional supplement, which means that it doesn't require FDA approval as a product. We are, however, extremely strictly regulated in what we are allowed to say. We are not allowed to make -any- claims that we can't support to FDA standards. Our lawyer actually helped write the DSHEA, and we are, unlike many natural products, fully FDA-compliant in that regard.Second: There is a major public perception that, if a product is legitimate, then it should have gone before the FDA. Unfortunately, that's not always possible. FDA testing takes a large amount of money (I believe our last quote for it was at $2 million, but I could be off; I can check, if you want)--and several years. Unfortunately, that tends to mean that the big companies have an enormous edge--smaller companies, like my own, or Mike's, just physically can't afford it.Those rules may be in the process of changing; in the meantime, we do have the studies, which are published. That's an -extremely- strong validation, not one that other products can match.> There are measurable differences in our physiology> (how many times have you heard that the French have> lower cholesterol than we do?) Your site says nothing> about a money back guarantee.*smile* I have the funny feeling that you're looking at the manufacturer's site, especially since the studies actually -aren't- on our site. The guarantee is there--Alison and I put it up there together. Try http://www.theauroragrp.com/guarantee.htm.> I'm not trying to flame you, but I think I share the> concerns of many others. 6 months at $78 is $468...a> gigantic amount of money if it does not work.Your concerns are excellent ones. I'm glad I had a chance to address them.Jeff MachThe Aurora Group

I was looking at your site...but...uh...somehow that page missed my watchful eye.Anyway, I wanted to thank you for your descriptions and your technical answers. Having been used to frightingly underqualified people make unsubstantiated or dangerous claims about supplements at the average health food store, I have become very cynical about the claims made about some supplements. I get chills every time I hear "Anyone can take Bee Pollen for energy." Hello?? Not if one is allergic to bee stings!!Anyway, I digress. You sound very competent and educated about this substance we are all sooo curious about. I'm glad you could answer these questions so coherently.Cheers,Nina
