Jade and Melanie,I looked through my closet o' hair products, and had about half bottle each of ultra swim shampoo and conditioner. I tried them this morning, and voila, my hair is softer. It could stand to soften up a bit more, but it is getting there. I forget about the pool chlorine hardening my hair, simply because I swim so often. We have a pool in our backyard, and many a nights after the baby is asleep, my husband and I slip into it for some downtime together (oooh, romance :). It's usually late when we get in -- after 9pm -- so that by the time I get out, I'm ready for bed. I wash my hair with a regular shampoo, sometimes I only rinse, I guess that's not good enough.Anyway, I washed with it this morning. My hair felt very hard, even after the conditioner. But I used some of the GPB as a leave in. Wow, it feels much better. I also went back to a product that I used when my hair was relaxed. I rubbed on some wildgrowth hair oil, and some Queen Helene jojoba moisturizing/conditioning cream. And my hair is slammin' today. Not one to toot my own horn, but I look good. My curls are much more defined, and the edge is very wavy -- just how I planned. No more Brillo Head.Mnay thanks to both of you. Since i'm not giving up my swim with my husband. (gotta get the romance when and where you can, especially wiht little children :), I think I'll use the swim shampoo at least once a week. I can mix some of the conditioner in with my deep conditioning mix to help get rid of any deeply imbedded chlorine. So again thanks to you both. My husband thanks you, too. I started to look like a little boy who always combed his hair. but it never looked like it.Question:I don't know either of you two have this problem, but my hair seems to curl itself into knots on the very ends. Does anyone else experience this, and how do you make it stop.?

I'm glad the Ultra Swim worked for you. Only a closet full of products?I usually use the Ultra Swim conditioner as a deep conditioner and leave it in for hours. Also, I shampoo twice with the shampoo. That helps. Lucky you. Now, if I could have enough natural hair to go curly...But, it's only been 7 weeks.I have had the little knots and noticed it again recently. I think it's too much friction at the scalp and not detangling from the ends. Jade may have a better opinion on this. I remember this from years back but, I think I needed a trim at the time. That's what I susally do to get rid of the knots. I hope this helps.Keep those flames burning,Melanie> Jade and Melanie,> I looked through my closet o' hair products, and had> about half bottle each of ultra swim shampoo and> conditioner. Hi, Sug'!I like this three-way conversation:)Like Melanie said, "only a closet full?" I'm like a real pack rat anyway, so I try to purge the junk every now and again, but where do they all come from? I've started putting a month/year for my hair care purchases, it's gotten so bad:) Don't let a company have a sale. I figure I can use it sometime:)Like those midnight swims myself. My boyfriend and I have been using his a lot these days. It is too humid for words in Virginia. Sug', what is it about water and moonlight? [Big Grin]Your SLAMMIN' hair. I am so glad to hear of your results. I got the swim shampoo and conditioner and will use it this weekend. Chlorine and salt water can wreak havoc with the hair. Mr. Steel Wool braided my hair last night. He was only going to do it partially at the front like so many women wear the style , but he did it in sections all throughout my hair. He told me I need to improve on patience. We sat for too long:) A new style for me:)It will be great for the beach.AWESOME Melanie. Melanie has some great advice:) I am so glad she's used and recommended the Swim Shampoo and Conditioner.Dreaded Knots. I hate these things. I don't know what causes them. I think Melanie's theory is sound. For some reason, I seem to notice them much more in the winter, but humid weather can bring them out, too. I think a trim is good idea, too. Splits may be forming--UGH:)You sound like you are so creative with the mixing of conditoners and all. I think that's wonderful!Enjoy the holiday weekend!Bye for now,Jade21> I looked through my closet o' hair products, and had> about half bottle each of ultra swim shampoo and> conditioner.
