Hi,When my hair was chin length (about 15 years ago) I used to wear it with the natural waves going crazy. I had a type of bob style that was all one length with beveled ends (although back then it was called someething else) and I would scrunch it like crazy.I used to use a variety of different setting gels and finally found Aveda's Confixer which was wonderful for my hair. Here is how to scrunch...at least how I did it:1. Make sure you do a final rinse of cold water. This helps add body and shine and makes scrunching more dramatic. At least it did for my hair.2. Towel blot your hair really well and then use a wide toothed comb and pick out all the tangles.3. Apply a good setting gel (like Confixer or similar). Depending on whether you want body at the roots or throughtout the hair, you can apply the gel to the roots or through the ends.4. Bend over at the waist and take a blowdryer set on slowest setting, with coolest setting, and then take a fistful of hand and "scrunch" it with your hand. Direct the air from the blowdryer to the roots and use a waving motion back and forth to dry the hair.5. Continue to take fistfuls of hair and "scrunch" it and then dry it until 95% dry.6. When all the hair has been scrunched and dried, throw the hair back and lightly scrunch the top of your hair directly the airflow towards the roots.Another surefire way to get the "scrunched" look. Section your hair into several 1-2 inches sections, apply a good gel, braid lots of 3 strand tiny braids around your head. Blow dry on slow, cold setting. Let hair completely dry, undo braids and viola...you have major scrunched hair.Hope that helps.Best wishes,Karen> id like to know how to scrunch hair properly... i have> wavy med.length hair and everytime i try to scrunch> it,> it comes out whack... i cant really explain how it> looks... this may sound ridiculous but are there> proper steps in scrunching hair?!?
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
