I am a hairstylist that has been stumped by static electricity. I've tried everything from spraying static gaurd on my brush to using pomade after styling to carrying a fabric softner in handbag. I've helped many people solve their hair problems can someone help me?!?!?!?!
Hi, Maria!Always nice to see a hairstylist here.Like you, I have tried a lot of things for static. The dryer sheets made my hair smell like my laundry, but did little. Even my jojoba which I use for my ends didn't help much with the snap, crackle and pop:)One thing which I have found which works to get the worst of static out of the hair is a gadget called the Ionic Hair Wand which you can purchase from a company called The Sharper Image. There are stores in my local area, but I know they have mail order because that's how I purchased mine. I think it was around $35-$40. Basically, it's like a high-tech brush which circulates a stream of cool air throughout the hair as you gently brush. It's powered by batteries. I would just say be very gentle in going through your hair until you feel comfortable using it, to avoid pulling strands of hair.Hope this helps...Bye for now,JadeI am a hairstylist that has been stumped by static> electricity.
