Well, if you've read my other messages you may well be saying "Again?!" but nobody has responded! We are bombarded with messages from advertisers of hair care products, but most of them aren't really that great now are they? Therefore I think it would be good if people with no motives other than sharing would give their imput on what really works. I've learned from Lady Godiva that ingredients that end in -cone aren't good for the hair, and i value that information! It takes a LONG time to grow hair out, and a few mistakes can undo MONTHS and MONTHS of care and patience so I think it would be very nice if a list of DOs (and DON'Ts) was compiled by people so we could learn from each other. Right now my list of favorites is:basic texture get shine by Back to BASICS (even though it has dimethicone)Professional Prescription Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner (Dimethicone again, but what can you do?)Golden nugget Professional Six-Way Conditioner (a leave in)Australian 3 Minute MiracleJheri Redding Professional prescription Biotin Leave-in TreatmentWhat are your favorites?

Hi! I just started using L'anza curls and color dy hair formula!! I checked to see if there are any cones in there and no there is not as far as I can see!! I know what you mean when it comes to the do's and dont's of hair care products and it's ingredients! I found out about a month ago that the cones were bad for your hair everyday!! I am still looking for that great everyday conditioner that has no cones in it!!> Well, if you've read my other messages you may well be> saying "Again?!" but nobody has responded!> We are bombarded with messages from advertisers of> hair care products, but most of them aren't really> that great now are they? I got really brave and permed the hair I've been taking such anal care of. I did it myself--the best perms I've had, have always been ones I do myself because i know how I like it! I used ApHOGEE Treatment for damaged hair on it. You put it on inbetween the perm crap and the neutalizer on the rods and dry it with a hair dryer. it takes a long time to dry it--i hate sitting under the dryer! You then wet it with the neutalizer, take the rods out, working the neutalizer through like normal, then after I rinsed i used the balancing moisterizer (ApHOGEE). My hair does not feel damaged at all! It is soft, and the curls took really well! I am also using ApHOGEE shampoo for damaged hair, and the Two minute intensive reconstructor. i love the ApHOGEE stuff! I had used the Treatment For Damaged Hair before, and love it even though it is a pain in the ass because you have to dry it in your hair, and you can't move your hair because it becomes brittle when the stuff is dry and you can damage your hair, but after doing it, followed by the Balancing Moisturizer the hair feels really good. I have no frizzies or ends that look like they want to split. My hair is soft and shiney. Before after a perm I could feel it was damaged, but not this time. I am so glad I took the time to do it! I highly recommend the ApHOGEE products. I have the Treatment for Damaged Hair which "rebuilds hair structure for 6 weeks," the Balancing Moisturizing treatment which you have to use afterwards, but is also good by itself, The Intensive 2 Minute Keratin Reconstructor, and the Shampoo for Damaged Hair. The only "-cone" is amodimethicone. I also used ion Effective Care Intensive Therapy Treatment (no -cones) which was recommended at the beauty supply place. I use so much different stuff it is hard to say for sure which one is the miricle stuff, but hey, I didn't lose any hair during my adventure so... I should probably tell you that even though 90% of the time I am very good to my hair, I have done some not nice things to it--I highlighted it, decided I didn't like the blonde streaks (my hair is dark brown) so I died it back dark with a permanent, but peroxide and ammonia free water based color, and redyed it with BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION Gentle Semi-permanent color by Clairol Professional (no ammonia or peroxide and it has aloe vera, Jojoba, and Vit E), permed it but didn't do it curly enough and washed and conditioned it too soon so it relaxed too much, waited 3 weeks and permed it again followed by another dye (same stuff) three days later and my hair still looks and feels healthy! The point of this rambling is that I believe that the ApHOGEE stuff really helped save my hair from my messing with it, and I want to recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their hair healthy, but still feels the need to tinker with nature. I got the APHOGEE at Sally's beauty supply if you want to look for it. It is kind of expensive, $6 for a little 4oz bottle, so it is $2-$3 per use depending on how much you use--it took me a lot to get it on every rod when I permed, but a lot ran down my back as I spilled. If you are going to do it i advise you get a bottle like you use for muxing dye with the little squueze spout thing so you can aim it better on the rods so you don't make a mess and waste a lot of product. I will never perm without it again and advise anyone getting a perm to use it. I hope this message is a help to someone!
