hey im 16 and need hair advice

hey whats up everyone?

ok im a 16 year old male and i need hair advice.

my race is half east indian (mom) and half southern italian (dad). i''m not sure if i have asian hair.. i dont know what the hell the definition is. one person in another thread said that indians dont count cause they''re caucasian.

anyway i dont care what your stupid definitons are lol all i know is that i have really coarse black hair (its jet black and straight as a board). when it grows long it like juts out to the side.

i usually just cut it short, but now i dont know, i just wanna do something with it like bleaching it. i have tanned skin so i know i cant make it blonde...but suggestions do you guys suggest.
if you want i can take a pic of my ****ty hair on my head now so you all can give me advice

That's an old-fashioned viewpoint. Lots of men dye their hair now, and not always for premature grey. Men are also starting to care about shampoos and styling products and all sorts of things they didn't thirty years ago. Nowadays guys like to try different things with their hair just as much as women do, and no-one thinks anything bad about it at all :-) .
Oh, almost forgot some advice. *sweatdrops*
As a general rule, dark-complected people shouldn't go blond, but there are some people who can pull it off, Maybe if you play with graphics programs or style simulators you can test and see if you're one of them without any risk or damage. Otherwise, maybe you could start with a dark coffee-brown, just to ease your way into it, and try out something more daring later, if you feel more confident.

It's not an old fashioned idea,take a look around the mall,or anywhere else see how many men have colored hair.
Men do care about shampoos,and styling products,that's nothing new.The products have just got better.Of course men care about good grooming,and looking their best.

Ok, my advice is to take a look around you. See other guys hair style. You said you want to grow your hair long and have a longer hairstlye right.
Have you tried the messy, out of bed or spiky look. I think you hair texture is perfect for that style, if you grow it long. I was told the messy hair style does not take a long time to do, and most girls like it. The spiky look like spiky_freak, takes a fair amount of time, effort and styling product but it looks super cool ( Cool hair spiky_freak )
I was told that if you grew you hair long enough and just keep combing it, it will go down and not be spiky. I seen my friends hair when it was 4 inches long, it had movement and stuff but when he cut it down 2 inches, it went totally spiky. Your hair will weigh it self down if it is longer.

Its perfectly normal from men to colour their hair. Its a new thing to men, that is why you dont see many guys colouring it. Only those brave enough or who doesnt care what other people think or just want to be trendy dye their hair. If you dare to be different go ahead, dye your hair.

For starters you might want to start shades that is not too light. Golden shades are great. You might want to try Ash colours. Ask a stylist or better a colourist.
Better yet, read some more about hair colouring products, and DIY.

*laughs* I think I was the "whatever". . . maybe trying to avoid saying my viewpoint is irrelevant here because I'm a woman? *shrugs* I don't care, though, because that's one of my hot-button issues-- I don't like it when people say one gender or another isn't allowed to do something.
I didn't think I was being disrespectful, though. I didn't call anyone names or use any rude words. I was just trying to convey information to someone who honestly didn't seem to know. I just assumed he was of the age where men didn't worry about their appearances, and didn't know it was all right for them to now, if they want.

Well, amongst the younger men, there are increasing numbers who think it's just fine to dye their hair, or pierce their ears, or even wear make-up, if they want. So amongst younger people, anyway, there are becoming fewer and fewer things that are meant only for men or only for women. If you're over the age of about 35 or 40, that would be why you don't know that, since most of the guys who do those things are in their teens or 20s.

My brother is Thai and has black hair with dark skin. He usually wears his hair short, and since it is coarse, other than gelling a bit to get the spikes going, it does stand up nicely.

He tried to do the blonde tips but ended up with orange hydrolized hair.
