I went to the hairdressers on Saturday and got some chunky highlights in my hair. The result was awful. It turned out a copper/yellow tone and I was so unhappy.

I went home and thought maybe I'd have got used to it, but didn't. I should have complained at the hairdressers but I didn't. So I decided to go to another salon for help. The girl tried to tone it down, and its a bit better but I'm still unhappy with the colour. The base of my hair is dark brown and its long.

To be honest my scalp is sore and I was told to apply Aloe Vera as this would help! I really want to change the colour again but really I should wait a while, even though I'm tempted!!

I was told to apply things like lemon juice and red sauce! Has anyone heard of this?? Any help much appreciated.

Is this the first time you have visited this Salon/Stylist? You guy's need to find Stylists' you know and trust do your color.

I DON"T recommend walking in anywhere for color.

If you don't like your color, you need to feel like you can go back and get it adjusted. If you don't trust the Salon/Stylist to adjust a color, then how can you trust them to do the color in the first place?

Having your hair color done is a very personal thing.

I don't know about the lemon juice and hot sauce thing....acidic is my guess...but not healing...IMO.

I would call my original Stylist and tell him/her I'm not happy and My color and it needs adjusting. If you don't feel you can trust them I would start searching for a Colorist I could trust.
