I prefer the strand by strand method because it is the most natural. From my experiece the best method is using small metal cylinders for the attachment. This method from my experiece is the safest for your hair providing it is done correctly and the hair is properly maintained.

This method can be done safely on fine hair providing there is not too much weight placed on your own hair. Fine hair cannot usually support hair that is very long. You also would want quality hair that would not be of a course texture. Your extentionist will be the best person to advise you.
