Shedding GL

For those of you with Great Lengths, how much "shedding" of hair do you experience? By "shedding" I mean individual strands coming out when you brush or run your fingers through your hair, I don't mean whole bonds coming out. My stylist says it's normal to shed just like your own hair sheds as new hair comes in - but in my opinion this shouldn't apply to GL hair as there is no new hair pushing the strands out of the scalp as the hair is not in the scalp, it is just falling out of the bonds. Mine sheds quite a bit and I'm always concerned the hair is getting thinner.
