When do you comb curly hair so that you get the least breakage? I have been told that curly hair should never be combed/brushed while dry because of breakage and frizz. However, hair is to fragile when wet to be combed then(or so says the daily tip for the day). When am I supposed to get out the tangles and how do I do so with the least amount of Damage??? Help Please!!!

I was told to comb with a large tooth comb in the shower only while the conditioner is in my hair. I have tried everyway imaginable and this has been the best for me. I just comb in the conditioner very slowly and gently, never pulling hard. I also don`t wrap my hair in a towel anymore. I just squeeze it gently with a towel and then let it lay wet on the towel over my shoulders until it air dries a little. Then I use a diffuser. Since I have started this regiem I see a great difference in my curls (they look more like ringlets now), less frizz and hardly no breakage whatsoever. Good luck.
I hav tried the conditioner in the shower thing for years. But, I still get a hand full of hair when I`m done combing!! Does any one else have this problem or any solutions?? I`m very concerned about the amount of hair I`m losing. -Coll
