Kristina;;;OH Yeah!!! Highlights look awesome on curly hair!

Highlights add sparkle, movement, lift, breaks up the solidness, more reflective, softer tones...it can be a lifting experience.

Tawny, honey, taupe, soft fawn brown, amber, chestnut, cinnamon, cafe au lait, creamy suede...need I go on???

The color depends on your skintone, eye color, etc., and the amount of light you and your colorist/stylist decide to add will determine when and how often you will need to touchup.

Hi Kristina;

What Color is your hair? Dark brown? (I`m guessing). Does your hair lighten on its own in the summer? Have you had any Chemical processes? (straightening, color, etc.) :)

i woudnt say my hair lightens on its own. sometimes if i am in the sun for a really long time i might get some red streaks but my hair gets a little lighter brown but not much. i have never chemically straightened my hair. i sometimes straighten it with a flat iron though. does that help at all??

Hi Kristina, me again; Of course I can`t see you in person but it sounds to me like you have gourgous deep brown hair with warmish tones and that is perfect for deeper richer color highlights.

If you want lighter highlights, go for darker honey blonde, not too gold, we don`t wan`t egg yolk yellow. (too yellow would not work with your skin).

Deeper warmer highlights in the lightest browns would work...Pick up some of the colors in your eyes. Maybe just a little on the chestnut side.

The key here, is not to get your Hlts too light with your dark hair, because if too light they can look gray from a distance and they do not grow out well.

Why don`t you just have a few Hlts weaved in, with a few more just around the front...see how you like them. Ease into it. Work with your stylist to get the right tone. It`s a wonderful spring gift to gve to yourself.
