Sometimes I wonder about how hair really photographs. I have seen pictures of hair on a couple of other boards that are almost unreal. So slick,so shiny, almost like a dolls hair - I guess my question is - HOW?
My hair is tailbone length, black as pitch, healthy, shiny, but not blinding, and I feel like I can never meet these "standards" because no photo I have ever seen of my hair comes anywhere near those I see on the internet.
Hmmm, well, having done modeling at one point (mostly underwater with scuba gear, but also on land) I know how much gunk they will goop onto your hair. It takes about three hours for them to go start to finish with a model`s hair, and I cna`t even count the number of products they use. If you want your hair to look good whill photographed I can recomend one product, but don`t use it if you plan on having anyone touch your hair: Rio Vista Equine Shine Coat Polish. I used it on my horses for shows, but it works well for photographing models too. (And Casey and Bo never minded if I stole a little or their spray). You spry it in, let it dry, then brush you hair. It will make your hair feel liek there`s hair spray on it, but it will LOOK great. Hope this helps.
