Ok ive found that this is basically similar to a silicoln coating (only a silicoln coating only lasts a few washes). It is like a clear varnish that is painted onto the extensions directly, unvisible to the naked eye. It can be designed to last up to 100 washes and keeps the hair looking good as what was once black may now be blond and curly! It is designed to be used as a substute for the hair's cuticle ensuring protection from day to day threads (ie, wind, heat etc) and to stop the hair from drying out.
Pros -Can last up to 100 washes therefore a short term fix to have euro like hair at a fraction of the cost.
Cons- As the coating adds weight to the hair, it gives a false impression of overall weight to the extensions
There are some well known companies that you ladys use that actually have a micro polymer crosslinking treatment on some of their hair but the overall view of the hair seems to be good.
What do you think? Thumbs up or down for this type of treatment?
Well, it seems to me that if it's necessary to use the treatment, then
it's necessary. Perhaps hair that's in very good condition wouldn't
require it, but I'm sure most extensions could benefit from it.
I imagine you wouldn't want to use this sort of thing on your own hair,
as silicone buildup can compromise hair long-term, but maybe not....
Im thinking that its something that blonde hair especially could benefit from. I suppose with this type of treatment the manufacturers could do almost anything to the hair then just put the coating on.
Im hoping to try some of this hair so i will let everyone know if it holds up. (better do as it is still expensive!)

I've heard that there is no such thing as a dumb question, except the one that isn't asked, so this is my dumb question:
What is a microlinking crossover treatment? Would that be never mind, I won't even take a guess. So what is it? I was going to Google it but you ladies have way more information.
its similar to the silicoln coating that is put onto processed hair extensions that have has their cuticle stripped. It gives an overall impression that the hair is good regardless of all the treatments it has had. Only apparently this cross linking treatment can last for 100 washes. Look at www.extensions-plus.com their soft hair has it.
To be honest there isn't alot of info re- this as it seems to be pretty new still but heh maybe soon all the extensions may have it.
I don't know if it is any good but i will know soon as i need to order some at the end of the month for 1 of my clients (she usually gets the bohyme but in Uk they dont do a col3 so i have to keep dying it, so trying this out as a change)
