Hiya gals,
OK, so much for experimentation. . .Bettie was on such a color mixing roll I had to let her just do her thang! I guess I hadn't realized how much time she spent up front getting the color mix proper (check out the results tho!!) The only thing we did differently was use *her* "platinum" monofiber (she sells ProHair I guess) for the highlights.
Color Mixes: Mandel, Blonde, Vanille from PH; then small amounts of ProHair #7 and #613 mixed in. I was in a huge hurry at the end (and ended up missing my plane anyway) so the after pics were taken in quite a hurry. I'll take some more in a few days. But I will say that this hair feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER than that wiggy 28mm. . .
Oh and by the way. . .my own hair, despite its inherent problems, was in way better shape after this take-down than the previous one. . .
And I just love having my own hair all in these braids... I feel like it's put away for safekeeping! She went quite a ways up on my scalp -- which I told her to do -- because I figured I'd go in there with shrinkies if she didn't, and if I didn't like the braids I could always take them out and re-install with shrinkies.
I need to play with this hair a bit but I will say that it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the 28mm. It's so much softer, and it hangs so much more naturally. She did some layering in the back, but I don't have much of a feel for how much.
I'll keep you posted -- and thanks for the encouragement to stick with PH -- that 28mm was quite, um, a ride. . .and I'm keeping it this long!!

Hi Sherrie, Thanks! Yes the 50mm is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ANIMAL than the 28mm. No comparison. Will post more about the differences/similarities as I wear it. . .
different yet so natural, I really think the 50 mm suits you so nicely, i would say based on your befores we have a similar texture hair; the thing about the 50 mm i love is how it gives some oomph but doesn't overpower me and blends with my straighter parts and wavier parts. i love the length also. woo hoo...also, with the 50 mm you can bump up the curl and make it a la Rita when you like with rollers.
p.s. i accidentally got my length wet yesterday trying to wash my scalp...i got some of the dome smooth conditioner with my last PH order and tried that as a leave in...LOVE IT...i'll keep you posted on that with the PH...

Oh yeah babe. Superb blending! Kudos to your stylist because the
transformation is stunning. Lovin' the length, too. I think the whole
look compliments you greatly.
sherrie, I personally would never do 28mm. My first order was
28mm, I looked at it through the package and ran the other direction
and immediately ordered the 50mm. The haar lays smoother and
starts softer.
Mocha: On the number of heat seals -- I think there are somewhere around 80. I counted 25 on the right side of my head, not going all the way back; the back is full of them but each one is larger; and there are fewer on the left side than the right.
Fina Fina, I just loooooove your hair and the style too! I just got a email from Sara saying my hair is in so hopefully it won't take too long to ship to NJ. I am so excited to try this PH out .
