I just purchased this and wanted to know how to use this in my hair for maximum beneift. Can i (a) mix some in with my regular conditioner at the time i plan to use it or (b) use it by itself as a rinse or (c) what are my other options?  Thanks, Ladies

Hmmm....when I used the coconut milk, I added a little bit of lime in it.  Made my hair sooooo soft!  I think you should use it as a rinse.  I left mine on for a couple of hours and then rinsed.

I have relaxed 3c/4a hair.  I used the coconut milk, 1 egg, and avocado mix (1 tablespoon of olive oil & 4 tablespoons of water) on my hair.  My hair came out shiny and a little tangled.  But I didn't have a blender so there where tiny chunks of avocado that I had to make sure came out.   

But the benefits were fantastic.  My hair was def stronger.  I think I will try the coconut milk with conditioner next time.

today i just mixed suave conditioner with coconut milk, egg, and avacado. I must say my 3c hair came out wonderfully. It came out shiny and soft and seemed stronger...the only thing was that my hair was a little tangled but nothing my fingers couldnt go through.

I've used coconut milk in the past and have had nothing but bad luck with it.

My hair became a tangled me after using it.  My relaxed hair hated it but my natural hair loved it...I was stretching out my relaxers then.  But now that I am hearing that you can do other things with it I might just give it another try.

i think coconut oil is good for hair and skin and coconut milk is best for cooking especially in rice

I tried coconut milk and honey, but they honey is too sticky for me to be patient enough to deal with, so I sometimes do coconut oil and EVOO. I combine both in a spray bottle, and spray it on to saturate my hair before I shampoo.

If i use honey I usually melt it so it won't be sticky and thick...more of a watery consistency.

In Indonesia olden times, in Jamu (Indonesian beauty rituals), they use thick coconut milk (should be from old coconuts) for washing and massaging hair. Lighter coconut milks (from middle ag coconuts) were used for rinsing but not deep conditioning. Of course, they have access to the fresh stuff. I'm not sur how effective those packaged coconut milks are. Just thought it would be an interesting piece of information :)

For deep conditioning, thay use asian nuts and plants but I doubt you can get it easily in US.

PS. An alternative to coconut is hibiscus leaves. Boil them in water, then strain the mixture. The remaining gel can be used as a shampoo. Watch out for pesticides though.

Coconut milk is a great moisturizer for the hair. I've heard that the mixture of milk and lime is good for stretching out relaxers. I know I've used it in combination with olive oil as a pre-shampoo conditioner with good results.
