Ok, so all the pictures I've seen of it look beautiful. It looks better than alot of human hair I've seen.I would get some. You cant beat the price. But I have one concern. One of the reasons I took the last hair out was because it felt dry and itchy. How does the hair feel when wet?And when its dry does it ever feel scratchy.I know that doesnt seem like a big deal. But I'm leery because I hate that feeling.Any help would be apprecciated from the synth wearers and people who've dealt with synth in general.
I have only worn PH and Wa Wa with clip in wefts, and I do think it feels dry.
I really want to like it, and will probably stick with it for a while, but it certainly doesn't compare at all to some of the EP European hair that I have worn that remained silky and tangle free for over 1 year.
AFAIK, all synth feels like straw when it's wet, and PH is no
exception. As synth goes, PH is some of the silkiest you'll find
(especially after steaming), but I agree with Metalgirl that synth in
general is stiffer than high-quality human. I wear PH, and the way it
feels when it's wet doesn't bother me at all, but if that's important
to you, it may not be the best choice. :)

PH looks incredibly real but it does have kind that kind of scrunchy crunch when you give a handful a squeeze.
When wet, yes, it's like straw. It dries nice though.
Funny thing, when I was in Extensions Plus, the girl who was waiting on me didn't know I was wearing extensions. I had it pulled back and looped through a pony so it was only about the middle of my back. When I took it out and let the 30" fall free, the store came swarming to the counter to see it. They had never heard of Plastikhaar or that synth could look like this.
They also put their hands in it and recoiled. "Ewwww. It's stiff," one replied.
I think it's pretty darn soft, myself. But when you deal with real European and Italian hair all day I can imagine this feels like rope.
yeah I know I would like to *try* it out.Maybe just for highlights. All the pictures I've seen of it looked beautiful..It was the pictures of you and others like jennyrr's hair that got me interested in it.I cant believe how pretty and shiny it looks even after weeks of wear. I dont know if I can deal with the scratchies but I guess I'll have to give it a go before I veto it completely. When I had my crappy deep wave in my husband slept about as far away from me in bed as he could. Not that I blame him.I wanted to sleep far far... away from that hair too, lol. I have hypersensitive skin.So it wouldnt take much for it to feel itchy.
Yesterday I was at a stand at the mall looking at the ponys. She was astonished i had a 'weave' as she called it when she started messing with my hair. But then when she started messing with it she was like, "Oh, this needs to be replaced" (YEs it was ratty bc we just had the top down in the convertible haha and i am do for a replacement i have treated this round like CRAP, bad bad mer"
OF COURSE SHE SAID IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED SHE WANTED ME TO BUY HER $70 PONY!
that was pretty brave of her to tell you so.I would have been so mad. If your hair isnt looking up to par you dont want strangers pointing it out, lol. And $70 for any of the clip on pony's is crazy. There either made from crappy bss human,or crappy synth. I did once experience synth wet once.Believe me it was an experience.I was wearing a wig cause I shaved my head(STUPID HOME BLEACH).So anyhow I went swimming.I love swimming,But there was no way I was going bald.So dummy me went with the wig on.It felt like seaweed as soon as it got wet.And it never got better after drying. It was a cheap wig to begin with.I guess I was just hoping that maybe the better synth would be different.
I don't think it's scratchy, but that's because I only wear synth (and
for a while, I wore lower-quality synth than PH). I will say I don't
think it's so much "scratchy" as it is "stiff". If you compare PH to
cheap human that's been washed a few times and frizzed up, then the
human will definitely feel like steel wool, but PH will just feel a
little heavy. So, you know, good synth is definitely better than bad
human.
I'll readily admit that it doesn't feel quite the same as human, but
it's still worth a try. Doing some highlights in PH is a great idea;
you'll only have to buy one bag's worth, so it's no big loss if you
don't like it.
my hair is stick straight. It looks like what others have to use a straight iron to get.Except I hate it and love curly hair, lol. You always want what you dont have.

I've been using PH on my clients for a couple of months now. No complaints from them at all.
I do notice that it tangles quite easy due to the length of it, so I
usually cut about 4-5" off which makes it more managable when blending.
My clients aren't really "butt length" types anyway.
I'm in the process of installing my own first set with PH, so we'll see how that goes.
I've had every brand of good synth hair so far.
Synth never feels like human hair at all but looks much better in my opinion.
Plus with the color options, you can't beat it.
I've definitely noticed that the superlong PH can tangle when you're
blending it, or even separating a chunk from the rubber band. But in
terms of wearing it, I have very little tangling, and my hair's quite
long, like 30 inches.
I've had much more tangling with human hair actually, and human-hair
tangles are different than synth ones, imo. With human, it takes a long
time to carefully detangle the hair and not damage it. With synth, I
find that it doesn't really tangle per se; it just bunches up a bit
every so often, so I spray it with the Dome Care, and use a wide tooth
comb, and it's tangle-free in no time. I find synth a lot easier to
care for. :)
