hi everyone,

My hand is screwed up again, so I haven't been able to type...so much for amputation...now they will take out the whole ulnar nerve!

Anyway, took everything out of my hair - went back to human hair - the PH and WaWa just get too wiry for me..no doubt because I end up steaming/curling it like a perm. :)

I decided to try clip ons...bought a bunch from sally's and bought some deep wet wave HH in lenghths of 18" 16" and 12" 1 of each. Dyed the top 1.5 inches a dark brown/ashy color so it blends and started to sew very very slowly...

I LOVE them! I take them out at night, so I am not sleeping on them, get up take a REAL shower in the morning, wash my real hair and put the clips in. They stay in all day, no slippage...very nice. I think I am going to add a few shrinkies to the very back, as my hair is just too fine to have the comb actually grab the hair. Other then that - I am happy as a clam! - Just need to find decent hair that is curly - not wavy that is longer then 18" 22-24 would be great.

Ok, need to stop typing for awhile. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Look at you...rubbing in the fact that you can sleep and shower unencumbered. Bah!

Congrats for finding something that looks good & is comfy. Looking forward to the pics.

As some who has suffered some devastating wrist breaks that took me off yoga and piano for several years, i feel your pain. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

Yeah, I really love my clip ins too.  I love the sleeping and showering thing too.  I really doubt I will ever go back to wearing extensions semi-permanently attached.

It's funny, when I first started wearing extensions in my young 20's, I was single and would not be caught dead without my hair on.  Now, I'm married and I don't put my hair on on my days off when I'm just hanging out around the house.  Sometimes when I come home from work, my husband will ask, "you're not taking your hair off yet, are you?"  He likes it on, but you know, it's so comfortable to give your head a break!

I understand.I wore clipins for a long time before I even knew about other methods. It is nice to be able to unattach your hair at the end of the day.My husband said to me today he wished he could take his hair off for a little while and put it on later, lol.I'm actually going to take out my shrinkies(which are great by the way)and redo my head later with clips.I dont think I like how permanent it is.I thought I would but now there are days when my hair feels gross and I want to take it out until I'm ready to go out.I like to be comfy at home.

I just got my order in from HisandHers. I got a clipon ponytail which is a reddish color with not very much hair attached. It was soft though. I got a skin top partial piece that I was disapointed in also. I also got some straight wefted #18 color brown (forget the number) and another one that matches my work friend's hair exactly whose I will be putting on next week with shrinkies. I thought I ordered another brown but it ended up being blonde which couldn't have worked out better if I planned it. I also received #14 wavy which I was planning on putting on my sides but I screwed that up and the color doesn't match me either and it's too wavy for me. I'm getting quite the hair collection going! Oh well might as well collect something that your interested in! I was pleased with the texture of the straight HisandHers and my friend will be installing it on me soon. I just took out some GL and I agree with the majority, NOT good for your real hair. When they did fall out on their own, my hair came with it! I want to try some combs too, but do they hurt your head?
