Natural is better but a kit saves time when you are trying to start a 360 wave hair style. It's also good for touch ups around the edges and in the back where your durag don't cover.
Some people have naps around the edges that really don't want to act right.

Yo mike wat is a taper I still dont get it I go by light or dark caeser.
A taper is when you get your hair faded. You know from dark to light to nothing around the sides and back. Down south we call them fades or taper, or college cut. It get real hot down here so we cut our hair low and fade the sides. I see few guys with braid or dreads down south because of the heat. I know in New York and up north the weather stays cool longer than down south, which would explain all the long hair styles. We bald head down south with fades.
With a Ceasar you have hair all over your head. In Texas it's already in the upper 90's and is due to reach 100 + degrees real soon!
