Before you chemically straighten your hair, I think you should try some conditioning products to help make your naturally curly hair taimable.  I had naturally curly hair and I ruined it during my years of chemically straightening it.  The most damage I got was thinning.  I just stopped putting chemical straighteners in my hair about five months ago and I am fortunate that I did not have to cut my hair because the last chemicals I got in my hair were more like texturizers.  Therefore, my hair was not bone straight and I have a very minimal of two textures.  My hair is predominantly curly at the roots and ends and wavy/straight in the middle, but I have minimal breakage and I condition my hair everyday.  Don't chance ruining your curls, just learn to work with them.

I agree, you should maybe try some really good moisturizing conditioners, but if u really want your hair straight ALL the time, then I guess it would be ok to straighten, but I wouldn't advise it. I think haveing curly hair is unique and there are a bunch of people who would die for it. Anyways, I personally don't really like perms b/c they will just ruin your hair, but so will straightening it every day with a straightenig iron. But again if u want your hair straight every single day, then a perm might be the best solution. Hope I helped.

I wouldn't chemically straighten it either.  I had a relaxer at one time but I grew it out and i would never go back.  They are too damaging and even if you get one you will still have to use some sort of heat to straighten it (blow dryer, flat iron) because relaxing it is not going to take all the curl out and leave you with completely straight hair but it could make it easier for you and cut down on your styling time.

i think before you go to a salon to chemically relax your hair deep condition your hair. but I don't usually relax my hair because it harse so I rather you just blow dry and flat iron
