There actually are things that prevent grey hair and reverse the greying process. Molasses can be used internally or externally to reverse the greying process. Check out these websites:

i dont think she was trying to be harsh. i guess she thinks the thread starter does not want to accept the ageing and greying hair. maybe a misunderstanding?

Curvediva, I'm not 43(not to far away) yet but I have had grey hair since I was 30 or 31, it's hereditary. If you have a lot of grey unless you are going to dye with a permenant dye you should just leave it alone, you can get funky colors with permenant die. You can use semi-permenant rinses, but grey hairs are very resistant and the color may only last one or two washes, I know I have tried.  My advice and what I have done is just imbrace the grey, it's not always a sign of aging all of my co-workers and people I met think I'm in my late 20's they don't even pay attention to the grey.

Thanks for the advice....I checking out the web site and will try the semi-dye......My baby sister love my silver hair but me it just so silver in the front.  I've had people walk up to me and said " your hair is so pretty who put the streaks in it.... My silver now I remember started when I was 18, just a few strands in the top, I will embrace the silver and keep it shiny.......

Good decision.  It took me longer than 43 to wake up and smell the coffee.  My hair is rapidly turning white in thick streaks alternating with my natural dark brown.  I love it.  The world hasn't stopped and the only criticism I've had has come from my hairdresser.  Some people even think the streaks are highlights.  Something for nothing!

If you do decide to color your hair, you have to make sure to use a color that has a red rather than green base. Often ash browns, even the dark ones, are green-based, and if you have no red tones in your hair, they will make your white hair green.

My daughter is ten, and we just discovered gray strands in the back of her head, I chalk it up to a sign of wisdom.  Though she's only ten she is Xtremely intelligent, sometimes tooo smart for her own good. Those gray strands must belong to that old spirit she got that was here before her  . Curvediva, why wash away wisdom, I think women and men look so distinguished with gray/silver in their hair, especially when the hair looks healthy. But you have to do what makes you feel better about yourself.
