my brother (john) wants me to give him extensions. john has short hair (about 2 inches) and it is wavy. he wants a longer look but not long. like about 6 inches or so. but how would i do them? i have done fusion on my friends and family but never on hair that is 2 inches long. any advice? how would i place them, part down the middle? no part? help!

Why don't you give us a pic of your brothers hair now and a pic of the look he wants.

People have worked on very short hair before with mixed results.  Realistic expectations are a really good starting point.

i dont have any pics. how long does hair have to be to glue in hand wefted tracks?

Not long at all; 2 inches is long enough for either glued or microringed tracks. I'd recommend one of those two methods for hair that short. And wavy hair shouldn't be a problem; just get a wave texture that matches his hair, and only leave out enough hair on the top to cover the base of the tracks. That's usually an inch, but will be up to two inches for very thin hair or half an inch for very thick hair.
