Well I guess I have reached that point where my hair is so long that @ the salon they make me stand up to get it cut/trimmed. I`m not used to this and feel uncomfortable in front of others people standing. How do others feel about this?
Must be gorgeous. G.S.M. keep it long and just remember, even if we don`t say a word, every guy is looking with admiration at your beautiful hair and wishing they could just run their fingers through it. I would like to share this thought from a dear friend of mine; There are only a limited number of really beautiful women in the world, the rest have short hair. Have a great long hair day.
Gord, do you think that long hair should not ever be trimmed? Hair that is never trimmed makes the person look like an ugly witch! Regular trims are for maintenance; don`t be such a baby.

I never said long hair -- or any hair, for that matter -- doesn`t need a nip and tuck once in awhile. However, if I saw a longhaired woman in a salon, I`d fear the worst: that she was going to get it hacked off. I`d feel the same as I do when I watch women cry while getting their ponytails snipped on the Maury Povich Show. By the way, not all "trims" make someone`s hair better. Feel free to read the Hair Talk/Long Hair Support topic with the heading "Mistake."
In the meantime, please take your name calling elsewhere.
There is no way you should feel weird standing to get your hair cut! That is a huge compliment!
Congrats on having such long hair!
Don`t think you`re the only one that is embarresed to stand up to get your cut in the salon. I had hair that was down a few inches past my waist and my mom told the lady to cut my hair at my shoulders in layers, but then I say to the lady that was going to cut my " Only trim three inches away. People at the salon ask if they could cut the hair to my shoulders , but I tell them I waited to long for my hair to grow that length then say ``The usual." Just act normal. Or if you want the other people to get jealous , when you walk out of the door flip your hair grasefully.
I dunno about standing , but my hairdresser has to squat when she`s cutting my hair..... I always joke with her that I give her the workout of her day...
I saw an episode of the show "Main Floor" a few years ago and she had a makeover on herself and she had her hair cut standing but she didn`t have really long hair.
