QuoteReplyTopic: how can i make my hair curly? Posted: September 28 2005 at 4:58pm
ok i am a guy and i used to have kinda curly/wavy hair. and my hair has gotten straight and i think it looks real ugly. my hair is long for a guy but short for a girl and i dont want to have to cut it short cause ive had long hair all my life. so what should i do to make it curly again? should i get a perm kit thing or what? or are perms if you want really curly hair, cause i just want it to curl a little.
so what should i do?

depending on what type of perm you get the curl can range from ringlets to waves but i think perm kits are just one type of curl i'm not really sure cos i get mine permed at a salon and i live in australia so i don't know what products you have in the U.S but if you have Garnier Fructis they have a curl cream, curl gel, curl mousse, curl definer the choices are endless. read the label before you buy to see if it will work on straight hair but the curl gel and mousse are probably the best because they can both create and hold a curl. Perms can also dry out ya hair a bit so they can be kinda expensive when paying for the perm then buying the very best products for your hair.
hope i helped

yeah i just want it to be a little waivy and kinda flip out not exactly curly. and i dont want to have to put gel and stuff in my hair every day. it would just be nice to shower and not worry about it.
Maybe since your hair is long it weighing down the curls/waves. You can get a body wave. For the days when you feel like putting stuff in you could try Garnier Fructis Soft Curl Cream, Dual Personality water+gel, and Tigi Control Freak.
