Hi, I have recently been bleaching my hair out to reach a pale ashy/platinum blonde color, but the last I had it was a yellow/orangey color(the hair closest to the roots were already platinum, though).  So, I tried using Clairol's Born Blonde toner in Blissfully Blonde to get rid of the orange tones(and to even it out), but what ended up happening is that it got darker.  It got to a dirty blonde, and also darkened up my already platinum roots!  I don't know what I should do....if I should use another toner, maybe with a developer or a white/violet toner.  Or if I should try dying it an ash blonde color?  I really don't wanna bleach my hair again....so I'm trying to avoid it.  I wanna get it lighter, not darker.  Which way would work or would be the easiest to do?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..thanks.

why don't u try the violet toner by manic panic for cancelling brassiness? i don't know if this will help a great deal at this point but maybe u could bring its brightness back.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I am going to try it.  Let see if it works.

If it works update if you can, i'm interested in seeing how well the non-damaging toners work.
