i believe consistant brushing washing and pomade of your choice should lay your hair down properly.(we call this training your hair.)

chess, with all due respect i have found it, and so have many others that the most reliable way to lay ur hair down is to not use pomade period.....I feel that ur hair must be trained with water b4 using pomade.....here's wut i'm doing...

1.Brush WHile in tha shower
2.Dry hair but leave damp(don't dry against tha grain)
3.Continue Brushing
4.Make sure that your hair is still damp ....then apply a durag on.(just a little tighter than usual.)

wait till ur head hurts, or u feel on ur head and it's dry, then remove ur rag.....

I use pink lotion, but you gotta get ya hair to the stage that you can use pink lotion! you might be able to use the same kindda substance in a jar (BY:MAKER OF PINK LOTION) it a pink jar and it has PINK in BIG letters on it (black top) and by the same makers of pink lotion, when you see the jar, you can tell its made by the makers of pink lotion!. just use a LITTLE of that and see what happens, but i only use it when im in the wave zone! you not in the wave zone yet, so use a little bit at a time

hollla back!
I CHANGED MY METHOD, IF IT WORKS I WILL SIGNATURE IT!
